A 16-amino-acid mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded within the 12S rRNA region of mitochondrial DNA. AMPK-mediated metabolic research compound.
Everything researchers commonly ask us, answered in one place.
Yes. Every batch is verified through independent Janoshik HPLC analysis.
Each MOTS-c batch supplied is tested by Janoshik Analytical, an independent peptide-analysis laboratory based in the Czech Republic. Reported purity consistently exceeds 99%.
Where a current batch report is available, a printed Certificate of Analysis (COA) is included with the order. Otherwise, verification details are published through our Purity page.
Every COA includes a unique verification code that can be checked against Janoshik’s own records, allowing researchers to independently confirm authenticity and testing results.
1. Clean the vial
Wipe the vial stopper with an alcohol prep wipe and allow it to dry.
2. Draw BAC water
Using an insulin syringe, draw 2 mL of bacteriostatic water.
3. Add slowly
Inject the BAC water gently down the inside wall of the vial. Avoid applying the solution directly onto the powder.
4. Dissolve carefully
Swirl gently until fully dissolved. Do not shake. Allow approximately 30 seconds, then refrigerate.
Use the included reconstitution guide inside the packaging for future reference.
Attach a fresh needle
Clean the pen tip with an alcohol wipe and attach a new sterile needle.
Prime the pen
Turn the dial one click, point the needle upward, and press the dose button. A small droplet at the needle tip confirms successful priming and removal of air.
Set the research amount
Each dial click represents a fixed increment based on the pen calibration. The display shows the selected amount.
Example: a 6 mg research setting may require approximately 6–12 clicks depending on calibration.
Use the route described in published research
Published research protocols describe subcutaneous administration sites including the abdomen, thigh, and upper arm.
After use
Each pen provides the number of uses shown in the relevant protocol information. When empty, replace the cartridge while continuing to use the same pen body.
Research use only. This information summarises published research procedures and is not medical or human-use guidance.
Published MOTS-c research describes subcutaneous administration routes, including sites such as the abdomen, thigh, and upper arm.
Research protocols commonly rotate administration locations to minimise repeated local stress.
This information is provided only as scientific background from published literature. We do not provide human-use instructions, dosing recommendations, or medical guidance.

Published MOTS-c research commonly evaluates gradual progression through study phases, beginning with lower research stages before moving to later stages.
Researchers should follow the relevant protocol framework for their study design.
For researchers new to this compound, published approaches typically begin with an initial research phase before progressing.
Researchers already familiar with MOTS-c can review the available protocol stages to determine the appropriate research requirements.
For custom laboratory schedules, contact our team before ordering so we can help identify the most suitable vial size and format.

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded within mitochondrial DNA. Scientific literature characterises MOTS-c as a peptide studied in cellular and preclinical models involving AMPK signalling and metabolic pathways.
The product is supplied as a lyophilised powder intended exclusively for laboratory research.
Descriptions above reflect published scientific characterisation and do not represent claims regarding effects in humans.
MOTS-c is supplied as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed glass vial.
For laboratory preparation:
A reconstitution calculator can be used to determine final concentration.
| State | Temperature | Typical Stability |
|---|---|---|
| Lyophilised | 2–8°C or -20°C | Up to 24 months |
| Reconstituted | 2–8°C | Approximately 4–6 weeks |
Every MOTS-c batch undergoes independent HPLC verification by Janoshik Analytical.
Where available, the batch Certificate of Analysis includes a unique verification key that can be authenticated against Janoshik records.
Reported purity consistently exceeds 99%.
