A small-molecule selective inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). Studied alongside peptide GLP-1 agonists in metabolic-research models.
Everything researchers commonly ask us, organised in one place for easy reference.
Yes. Every batch undergoes independent HPLC verification by Janoshik Analytical, a Czech laboratory specialising in peptide and compound analysis that operates independently from us.
All supplied products are batch tested, with reported purity consistently exceeding 99%.
Where a Janoshik Certificate of Analysis (COA) has been released for the current batch, a printed copy is included with the order. If a report is unavailable, the corresponding verification record is published on our Purity page.
Each COA contains a unique verification code that can be authenticated through Janoshik’s own verification portal, allowing researchers to confirm the results independently.
We also provide guidance on how to interpret Janoshik HPLC reports for complete transparency.
Follow these four preparation steps:
Use an alcohol prep wipe from the supplied kit to clean the vial tops. Allow the surface to dry before proceeding.
Using an insulin syringe, withdraw 2 mL of bacteriostatic water through the rubber stopper of the BAC water vial.
Inject the BAC water gradually down the inside wall of the vial. Avoid directing the liquid directly onto the lyophilised powder.
Carefully swirl the vial until the powder has completely dissolved. Do not shake. Allow around 30 seconds for full dissolution before refrigerating.
The reconstitution card inside the box lid can be used as a quick reference for future preparation.
Clean the pen tip with an alcohol wipe and attach a fresh foil-wrapped needle securely.
Turn the dial by one click, hold the pen upright and press the dose button. A small droplet appearing at the needle tip confirms successful priming and removal of air.
Each click provides a fixed increment according to the pen calibration. Typical click resolution is 0.5–1 mg per click, with the display showing the total selected amount.
Example: a 6 mg research setting may require approximately 6–12 clicks depending on calibration.
Published research protocols describe subcutaneous administration using areas such as the abdomen, thigh and upper arm. Researchers generally rotate locations throughout study procedures.
Dispose of the needle using an approved sharps container. Replace the pen cap and return the device to refrigerated storage.
Each pen provides the number of uses specified for the selected format. When empty, replace the cartridge while continuing to use the same pen body.
Research use only. Procedures are based on published research protocols and are not intended as medical guidance or instructions for human use.
Once opened, refrigerate and use within approximately 30 days.
Published literature involving 5-Amino-1MQ describes research administration methods, including subcutaneous administration routes in pharmacokinetic and clinical research settings.
Researchers typically rotate administration locations, such as the abdomen, thigh and upper arm, during study protocols.

5-Amino-1-methylquinolinium (5-Amino-1MQ) is a small-molecule compound described in preclinical scientific literature as a selective inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT).
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research.
The information above describes scientific characterisation from published literature and does not represent claims regarding effects in humans.
5-Amino-1MQ is supplied as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed glass vial.
For laboratory preparation, add the required volume of diluent slowly along the inside wall of the vial. Gently swirl until completely dissolved. Avoid shaking or vortex mixing.
Prepared solutions should be stored at 2–8°C and protected from light.
Use the Reconstitution Volume Calculator to determine the final concentration in mg/mL.
| State | Temperature | Typical Shelf Life |
